Apprenticeship Opportunities at Millpost Studios
Millpost Records, and The Millpost Coalition, is committed to preserving the artistry, skills, and trades found in the capture of acoustic music, cultivating the next generation of sound engineers, producers, and studio owners. Whilst we do not currently have any open apprenticeship positions, we encourage passionate and dedicated individuals to express their interest in the following specialisations for future opportunities.
Our Ideal Apprentice
We seek individuals who demonstrate:
- A genuine passion for heir chosen specialisation and a desire to build a lifelong career in the field.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A dedication to learning from the ground up, embracing the foundations of capturing high-fidelity audio.
- Patience, meticulousness, numeracy skills, and a strong work ethic.
Millpost Records Apprenticeship Focus
- Learn Millpost's Studio Techniques:
Master the skills and methods that define our sound.
- Technical Expertise:
Develop an in-depth knowledge of signal flow, equipment, their properties, and their applications.
- The History and Heritage of Audio Recording:
Understand the heritage that you'll become a part of.
- A Graduated Learning Path:
Progress from foundational skills to independent project creation under expert guidance.
- Post-Apprenticeship Opportunity:
Transition into our "improver" scheme, where you'll manage your own orders and build your own client list.
