Happy New Year from Millpost Records!

It's the start of a New Year! We hope that you have had a wonderful seasonal celebration, and that you have been able to spend time with those around you. With the turning of the year comes the opportunity and encouragement to change, develop, and improve - Millpost Records is doing no different.

After spending several years in the North-East of England, Millpost Records has relocated back to East Sussex. Our owner, Jack Hogsden, has begun his first season working as a live sound engineer at the world famous Glyndebourne Opera House, which the very Millpost that we got our name from overlooks. This is a new and exciting venture for him, alongside his development as a freelance live sound engineering across the city Brighton & Hove. Not only is he undertaking these new positions, Jack is also working on the next release for Millpost Records, which will be announced officially soon, and he is already in communications with new potential artists and staff to join his team.

We've had a complete renovation of our website over the course of December, which is now much easier to navigate. We received some comments regarding this, and we have listened. With updates to our store layout, more information regarding our recording services, an updated list of equipment (see below!) and so much more, we look forward to hearing about how you all get on. You will also see that we have some new fancy tote bags in our shop, which are going to be arriving in the near future. Make sure to keep an eye out and grab one when they drop!

We've made some serious upgrades to our tracking, mixing, and mastering capabilities. We are very pleased to not only have a huge range of plug-ins from Universal Audio, including API, Neve, Avalon, Studer, Manley, Pultec, Fairchild, Teletronix, and so much more, but we have also got some new hardware on the way. We have managed to get hold of a fantastic TL Audio VP5051 Valve Channel Strip, providing wonderful preamp tones, smooth compression, and accurate EQ modelling. We're looking forward to getting this racked up, and getting those valves working on your new favourite tracks!

That's all for now, but we are working on some recording for some features with a new artist to us, but a highly respected singer-songwriter in the UK. Photos and information will be posted next time. So until then, we hope that you all have a Happy New Year, and we'll be in touch soon!
