About the event
The Musicians:
Cara Elin (vocals, guitar), a Welsh folk musician bringing the tales of Mabinogion to life. Through her performances, she casts a spell of quiet intensity, drawing listeners into the mystical world of misty mountaintops and the enchanting tylwyth teg. Cara will be joined by Archie Keane (vocals, guitar) and Toby McEwen (vocals, whistles, percussion).
After what feels like far too long, Jack Hogsden (vocals, guitar, melodeons, mandolin) has returned to the folk scene in full force. Voice, guitar, melodeons and mandolin create incredibly sympathetic and diverse arrangements for both instrumental and lyrical performance, which has been seen at some of the leading festivals and venues around the UK.
Smitherman & Cathail, usually one half of the local folk band Far Darrig, are united in love and respect for traditional music from across our Atlantic Isles. This duo project together brings the music back to pure basics, and offers…
