Group Workshop: Bellows & Rhythm Basics

Service Description

This group session is designed for designed for any players that know the basics of the DG melodeon, with a few tunes under their belt and some idea of chords, and any more advanced players will find this useful too. The focus of this lesson is to take standard simplistic morris tunes, and explore the concepts of lift, drive, rhythm, and control to better-suit and encourage dancers to perform at the best of their ability. Learn directly from Jack Hogsden in a setting that encourages communal playing, growth, and allows you to connect with other morris musicians around the country, and potentially worldwide. 10:00-10:15 - Welcome, intros, warm up exercise. 10:15-11:00 - Main teaching theme. 11:00-11:10 - Break/chat. 11:10-11:45 - Main teaching theme. 11:45 - 12:00 - Playthrough, Q&A, parting advice. Breakout rooms may be used, and by booking this course, you consent to potential recording to be undertaken, to promote Jack Hogsden's instrumental tuition, and for those that want to revisit this lesson in the future having paid for the add-on.
