Well we are starting our new year with a bang! Not only have we made a tonne of updates to our website, but we are also making a massive effort on making our tracks sound as good as possible. While 90% of our equipment is still (unfortunately) up in Newcastle, we decided that it shouldn’t stop us from getting more rack gear, even if we can’t rack it, as the rack is 400 miles away. Oh well.

We love using plug-ins (particularly from @wavesaudio and @uaudio) but we also love capturing with hardware. We have some beautiful mics and after much deliberation, decided that a channel strip is the way to go. When we saw this, it had to have a new home, and it sounds AMAZING. Whether it’s clean and balanced on acoustic instruments, or whether we drive the valve preamp for that analogue saturation on vocals, this unit is brilliant.

Our new-to-us-but-very-not-new TL Audio Ivory Series VP-5051 Valve Processor. We’d like to give a massive thank you to the legends over at @studiocarepro - you guys rock and were seriously helpful. Brilliant service, and we are so happy with this unit.
